Towven.com – On the evening of January 31, 2025, a small Learjet 55 crashed in northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The accident occurred around 6:30 PM local time and caused fires in several nearby homes.

The plane was reported to be carrying seven people, including two doctors, a patient, and family members of the patient, on their way to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.

According to reports, the plane took off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport and crashed less than four miles from the airport, triggering an explosion that could be seen from a distance.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro confirmed that emergency services were responding to the incident and urged the public to stay away from the affected area.

Several homes around the crash site caught fire due to the explosion caused by the downed plane. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a large fireball as the plane fell, adding to the dramatic nature of the event.
